Role Overview
The Agency Channel Manager will be responsible for driving business growth through agency partners by recruiting, training, and managing insurance advisors/agents. The role focuses on developing a high-performing sales force and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Agency Recruitment
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new agents/advisors.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates.
- Ensure quality hiring aligned with company standards.
2. Training & Development
- Conduct induction training for new agents.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and product training.
- Help agents develop sales skills and market knowledge.
3. Sales & Business Generation
- Drive agency sales to meet monthly and annual targets.
- Support agents in closing deals and acquiring customers.
- Monitor performance and productivity of agents.
4. Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with advisors to improve retention.
- Act as a point of contact for resolving agent queries/issues.
- Motivate agents through regular engagement and incentives.
5. Performance Monitoring
- Track key metrics (recruitment, activation, premium, productivity).
- Prepare reports and reviews for management.
- Implement corrective actions where needed.
Key Requirements
Education
- Graduate (any discipline)
- MBA preferred
Experience
- 1–5 years in sales / agency channel / BFSI / insurance
- Experience in recruitment-driven roles preferred
